FFA annual travel

The Akureyri Travel Association publishes the magazine Ferðir (Travels) annually. It has been published almost continuously since 1940. FFA members receive it with their annual fee, and it can also be purchased at the FFA office.

The annual magazine focuses on travel stories, mainly from Iceland but also from trips abroad. It always covers FFA's activities in detail, and reports from the board and committees within the association are published there, and have been since the publication's inception. The magazine Ferðir is thus a reliable source on the Akureyri Travel Association – and has been for more than 80 years. Digital technology has of course made great strides in the last 20 years, but we believe that our printed annual magazine is a more permanent source than computer documents.
