Become a member of FFA

The annual fee for FFA for 2026 is 10,400 ISK. Electronic membership cards were introduced in 2021 in collaboration with FÍ

FFA members have all the same rights as in FÍ, the same membership card applies. About becoming a member in your home area.

The Akureyri Travel Association is an amateur association that wants to promote travel around Iceland, especially the North. You do not need to have any special travel experience to become a member of FFA. The same terms and conditions apply to membership as with FÍ, see here. You can resign from the association at any time by sending an email to ffa@ffa.is.

Spouses/partners of members can choose to pay 5,400 ISK. annual fee in 2025 for family membership. They will then receive a membership card and enjoy all the benefits it provides in addition to the magazine Ferði. All members have the right to vote at the meetings of the association. The FÍ Yearbook is not included in that fee. Those interested in it can register like others but state under "other" who the spouse is who is a member of FFA or contact the FFA office.

FFA had over 700 members as of December 31, 2024, and has grown significantly over the past six years. The goal is to further increase membership and raise awareness of the great work FFA does and the value of membership dues.
