The six key elements
FFA's goal: Through its work, the association wants to promote and facilitate travel around Iceland, especially the North. The association also wants to arouse interest in the country, its nature and history among Northerners, and encourage good treatment of nature.
There are 6 key elements: the company, trips, cabins, committees, social media and innovations.
The company
Objective:
Strong volunteer work will continue within the association. That the association will be a vibrant force in tourism in the region and in constant renewal. That all members will always feel welcome. That as many as possible will know about the association's origins and be interested in traveling and working with the association. Emphasis will be placed on reaching younger people to work with the association.
Implementation:

Trips
Objective:
That a variety of tours are offered, for example in terms of difficulty level, nature, history, culture and entertainment. Emphasis will be placed on getting younger people on tours, trying to reach families, teenagers and children. To offer professional and ambitious tour management, tour guides who have the required training. Ensure safety on tours as much as possible.
Implementation:
Travel Committee, Committee on Children and Family Activities, and Activity Group Committee.
Bowls
Objective:
To continue the important work of developing the company's cabins and to make good use of the cabins. The company aims to ensure that the operation of the cabins is sustainable and covers the costs of construction, maintenance and operation.

Cabin committees.
Committees
Objective:
The strong work of the committees will be continued. They work independently and are responsible for their work. To recruit new people to the committees and increase the number of women in particular. Committee members divide tasks so that everyone has a role. Good cooperation with the board and office.

Community tickets
Objective:
A strong and vibrant website and Facebook page. The FFA website is organized, vibrant and all information is accessible. That the association is visible on as many social media platforms as possible.
Implementation:
Office, membership and promotion committee.
Innovations
Objective:
That all members have the opportunity to bring new ideas to the work of the association. They can trust that all ideas will be discussed and that they will be informed of their outcome. Each committee strives at all times to find interesting innovations in the work of FFA and seeks input from members about them.
